Girls Run the World launch 2020 Race Shape™ Challenge to help keep women motivated

On 1 May, Girls Run the World are launching the 2020 Race Shape™ Challenge, a free-to-enter 30-day online programme to help keep women inspired and focused during – or after – COVID-19.

Major events worldwide have been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak and many women are likely feeling disappointed and unmotivated, as training plans are interrupted. Girls Run the World have responded by launching an online initiative that involves 30 days of physical activity, leading up to a virtual 5K where teams in the north and south of the UK will compete to be the fastest.

Maintaining a sense of community is equally as important as keeping fit and healthy, and the Race Shape™ Challenge gives you the chance to do both. Keeping women fit, strong and mentally well during and after the virus, the 30 day programme includes strength, core, yoga and running workouts as well as a healthy eating plan.

In the meantime, Girls Run the World are also hosting a range of free workouts each week on their social media channels with coaches and experts from around the UK, who are part of the platform’s new initiative to support female experts in endurance coaching. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see more.
