Balancing act: Lateral hip swing

Balancing act: Lateral hip swing loosens up your hip joint and the muscles surrounding it. It is perfect preparation for the natural rotating movements of running.


  • Stand on your right leg.
  • Swing your left leg up sideways and then down in front of your body.
  • Start with small movements and increase your range of movement.

Be safe

Hold onto something if you struggle with balance.
