Many of us runners love the idea of running an international marathon. The trouble is, it’s sometimes really tough to get a spot. And even if you do make the ballot, organising the trip around your marathon training plan can be a bit of a headache.

Another fast and flat route to tackle is the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. One of the largest cities in the United States, Chicago is well-known for its skyscraper skyline and iconic landmarks.
This city is bursting with things to keep you busy and thousands will be in attendance at this year’s Marathon Major. Runners from all 50 states and more than 100 countries will set out to accomplish a personal dream by reaching the finish line in Grant Park.
