Laura Muir and Jemma Reekie led the way in a brilliant display of British athletic talent in Stockholm on Sunday

Laura Muir proved herself to be world-class for the second weekend in a row, clocking 3:57.87 in the 1500m to take first place at the Stockhom Diamond League meet-up on Sunday. This fresh win comes off the back of her record-breaking performance in the 1000m in Monaco last weekend, where she set a new British women’s fastest time.

Muir’s housemate and fellow Scottish athlete Jemma Reekie also claimed a comfortable win in the 800m, crossing the finish line in 1:59.68 and securing her fourth win this season.

Muir and Reekie may have delivered stand-out performances, but it didn’t stop there: the 15oom saw a fully British podium, with Laura Weightman coming second to Muir and Welshwoman Melissa Courtney-Bryant claiming third place and a new PB.
