At WR we were pretty excited to hear that adidas were launching its first women-only trainer – and even more excited to receive it into the office. Based on years of research and testing, using extensive prototypes and state-of-the-art motion-tracking technology, the PureBOOST X has been based specifically around the female foot shape and how this changes as we run. This has resulted in a trainer with some very interesting design features and dynamics, its most standout feature being the free-floating arch above the midsole, designed to offer added support, while allowing the arch to move and flex freely.
