The brand's first hijab is made from a technical, recycled fabric that's lightweight yet secure
We’re big fans of Sweaty Betty’s high quality activewear, so we were thrilled to hear that they’ve developed their first performance hijab.
The team spent a year developing and perfecting the design, through product tests and customer feedback. The hijab promises to be lightweight and breathable, yet also secure during sport, from running to HIIT.

The brand says it wants to empower women through fitness, breaking down any barriers that restrict access to physical activity.
“We hope that this will facilitate an underrepresented group of women to compete at their optimal level of performance,” says Sweaty Betty Chief Product Officer Jemma Cassidy. “No matter your age, size, skin colour or religion, we want to empower every woman to lead a healthy lifestyle.”

This product is the first in what will become a category of products for hijabi athletes, with more releases planned later in the year.
The hijab is £25 and you can find it here.
