I love jazzy sportswear, but a surprising amount of the kit I try is black, grey or navy. So, I was thrilled when I pulled these technical running tops out of the bag to see their colourful designs. However, my job as a reviewer isn’t just to admire the clothing from afar: I need to put it to the test and see if it performs.

I wore these tops on a couple of wintery weekend runs and was really impressed. Firstly, the fit. As a wide-hipped gal, I often struggle to find long-sleeved t-shirts that are flattering. Usually, they’re loose around my shoulders and then tight over my hips and bum. These tees were perfect: nothing was too tight or too baggy, and they felt really comfortable.

As I ran, I found them to be lightweight and breathable, offering full freedom of movement and wicking away sweat quickly. They’re made of Italian polyester, which is lovely and soft, and the prints use eco-friendly inks, to boot.

Then there were the designs themselves. They really cheered up the grey days, and I got so many smiles and compliments from other runners and walkers. I also think they’d be great racing tops, making you stand out from the crowd so that your friends and family can easily spot you.

Overall, I loved these tops, and can’t wait to run in them again. They’re great on top of a baselayer, or on their own for warmer runs, and they’re sure to put a smile on your face.
