The best running socks from our 2020 Product Awards...

Best Running Socks: Winner
HILLY Twin Skin£14

Hilly was a hit across the board, but particularly with its Twin Skin version as tested here. Chrissie was sold right from the start: “I really like these socks,” she enthused. “They are soft, a really good fit, with the height is just right; it prevents chafing on the heel, but it’s still an ankle sock. They didn’t slip at all, and I like the extra padding at the toe and the slight compression in the mid foot.” Hannah agreed: “It’s hard to fault them – twin skin but not thick and bunchy. Lovely colour, too.”

Best Running Socks: Highly Commended
MONKEY SOX Elite X2 Sports Socks£14

These no-show socks were a firm favourite among our testers, especially during summer, thanks to the COOLMAX® technology that stops your feet from overheating. The cushioned footbed makes for a comfortable run, offering great arch support, and the mesh upper provides a breathability that’ll leave you feeling fresh afterwards. Plus, we love the striking colour ways!

Best Running Socks: Best Value
MAAREE Sock It To Me running socks£7

You get a lot of bang for your buck with these. Esther said, “These are brilliant value-for-money socks. The performance and fit are both excellent, and they’re totally blister resistent.” Meg agreed: “The comfort was so good I went and ordered a pack of three. The padded ankle cuff makes all the difference and I love the design; the logo looks great. Incredible value for money, I’m totally sold on these.”

Best Running Socks: Editor’s Choice
FEETURES Plantar Fasciitis Light Cushion running socks£25

We were really impressed with the compression and detailed research that has gone into these smart socks. “I loved these,” said Esther. “They were really supportive of my high arches. My foot felt hugged and supported throughout every run. And I didn’t get any blisters either!”
