No, you're not seeing double – Brooks are giving us not one, but two new versions of their cloud-soft shoe this year to offer more options to runners who need support

Neutral runners have enjoyed the pillowy soft goodness of Brooks Glycerin for yonks: with a sole you could sink into, combined with the technology you’d expect from running experts Brooks, the Glycerin has long been a favourite for runners ploughing through their long runs.

Now, every runner can run in a cloud-soft shoe. This year, Brooks are launching not only the Glycerin 19 (their softest run yet), but also the Glycerin GTS 19 (GTS stands for Go-To-Support). Brilliantly, this means that if you pronate, you can still enjoy the plush Glycerin – with the added bonus of support right where you need it, thanks to Brooks’ leading GuideRails support technology.

This new Glycerin GTS replaces the old Transcend; this simple shift makes it much easier for us to find our perfect shoes based first on the experience we want, followed by any pronation needs – rather than the other way round.

Brooks want us all to enjoy our running more, demonstrated by a recent study they conducted that discovered that running not only reduces stress, but also boosts creativity – the runfulness effect (you can read more about it here!). It’s that state of mind that you enter when you run that can unlock new ideas, new ways of thinking and new opportunities.

In response, Brooks have launched RunFund, asking for ideas dreamt up during runs in return for donations of up to £100,000 to finance them. Pop on a pair of Glycerins, head out and see what you come up with! Find out more here.
