HOKA ONE ONE are releasing a brand new trail shoe that will redefine the downhill running experience

Footwear company HOKA ONE ONE have announced that they will be releasing a new trail shoe that will focus on making downhill running more stable and comfortable. The news comes just days after the announcement of their new apparel range.

The TenNine ultra-size shoe will include “never-seen-before midsole geometries and a new wider and innovative platform designed to maximise ground contact for a smoother, more stable and efficient cruise over challenging terrain and distances,” according to HOKA.

Ten years in the making, the new shoe promises to redefine downhill running, offering improved stability and grip as well as innovative geometry designed to manage impact on the heel. Runners should notice a smoother transition from heel to toe, feeling the benefits no matter the incline.

The TenNine shoe is designed for all distances, though ultra-runners are likely to find them most beneficial. It incorporates a host of other features designed to accommodate extreme mileage, including a special lycra vamp that adjusts the fit to accommodate foot swelling over longer distances.

The TenNine will be available soon on the HOKA ONE ONE website and in select stores. RRP is £220.
