We check out some of HOKA ONE ONE's best-sellers...

We’ve been HOKA ONE ONE fans for a long time – ever since we first donned a pair of Speedgoats and felt the comfort that their ‘maximalist’ designs bring to a run. If you haven’t tested out their bold, bouncy and extra-cushioned running shoes then we highly recommend doing so, as they’ve revolutionised many a long run.

When they launched their apparel range in March 2020 we were thrilled, and this new gear made a stylish and practical addition to our running wardrobes that we’re still raving about today.

As we approach one year since the HOKA team expanded their range to include apparel, and six months since the release of their best-selling Clifton 7 shoe, we had a look back at some of the HOKA gear we wouldn’t be without…

HOKA ONE ONE Clifton 7 running shoe £125

The Clifton 7 proved to be a powerful upgrade to its much-loved predecessor that is still unbeatable on roads. “I’ve now been running in the Clifton 7 for the best part of half a year,” said Esther, “and they’re a firm favourite in my running wardrobe. The foam is just as resilient and bouncy, cushioning every stride. I now purposely use them for my easy runs the day after a long run, as they feel almost like a recovery shoe. The fit has remained spot on, and the construction is excellent, with barely any wear and tear since the first day I ran in them. The big plus for me, though, is that higher support at the back of my achilles – I absolutely love it.” If you loved the Clifton 6 or just want to try a more cushioned shoe then these are a must. Plus there are ten different colour ways to choose from, including brand new Hot Coral and Morning Mist, so you’re bound to find the pair to best suit your style.

HOKA ONE ONE Rocket X race shoe £140

These speedy shoes got us excited before we even laced them up when we tried them a few months ago, and we’re still just as enthusiastic about them now. “My runs in them are fast, joyful and bouncy – you can feel the shoes propelling you onwards,” says editor Esther. “The confidence they inspire is awesome, to be honest!” But it’s not just how they make us feel; there’s also some impressive tech going on. Engineered to be a fast, racing shoe, they’re incredibly light, weighing in at just 210g. The signature HOKA foam platform holds the key to their bounce – inside, there’s a 1mm carbon fibre plate. A great choice for all runners, whether you feel the need for speed or just enjoy getting outside.

HOKA ONE ONE Women’s 1/2 Zip Midlayer top £70

Perhaps our favourite of HOKA’s apparel offerings, this mid layer top is tackling changing weather conditions. The sustainable Polartec® Power Grid material blend keeps you toasty in winter, but its breathability means you won’t overheat as you start to warm up. The fit is lovely, and the odour-resistant, sweat-wicking tech makes a real difference to how you feel as you run. It’s also made from 25% recycled materials, so you can feel as good on the inside as you look on the outside.

HOKA ONE ONE No-Show Sock £10

These socks are a running staple, with engineered arch support that’ll keep you feeling comfortable. The seamless toe construction is a big tick – no chafing in sight – and they’re really breathable. They even provide a slight compression: a good middle ground if you’re thinking of trying compression socks but don’t want to go the whole hog.
