Read Time:   |  March 2, 2021

As spring creeps in, we've got the perfect gear to keep you looking good and feeling comfortable

Whether you’re training for a virtual race, running to get some headspace or just starting out on a new fitness challenge: you deserve some new kit. It’ll make you feel motivated and comfortable, so you can just focus on the running bit. Here’s some of the kit that’s put a spring in our step this month…

BOSE Sport Earbuds £179.95

For many of us, our earbuds are as vital a part of our daily running kit as our shoes and our running bra. And these are currently top of our wishlist: extremely comfortable (in fact, you really can’t feel them when they’re in), and with three sizes of tips to ensure you get the perfect fit, these buds do not budge: not on a run, not in the rain, not ever. The sound quality is excellent too, as you’d expect.

MAMA LIFE LONDON Probably Running Late Jacket| £55

Astonishingly good value, this lightweight jacket folds up super small, so it’s a brilliant item to stuff in your trail pack an forget about until you need it. There are two slogans to choose from, the design will go with pretty much everything in your running wardrobe, and the fit is superb, with good length in the arms and hitting about mid-hip. It stays put, doesn’t rustle and is a fantastic spring layer.

Available in sizes XS-XL

FLANCI Cross Neck Hoodie | £47.99

Available in lots of lovely colourways, this is a serious bit of recovery kit. Whack it on as soon as you get in the door from a long run, and you will sink into its cosiness. We love its slightly longer length, happily covering a cold bum, the comfortable thumb holes, and the snuggly hood. Warning: once snuggled into, it’s very hard to snuggle out of.

Available in sizes S-XXL

TESCO F&F 2-pack sports bras | £12 for the pack

These bras are a wardrobe staple – they’re brilliant for lower-impact training and are super comfortable and chafe-free. The strappy cross-back is really flattering and the value for money is almost unbeatable. If you’re a bigger-boobed runner, they work brilliant with a Boobuddy for high-impact activities.

FLANCI Women’s Leggings £37.99

The utter joy with these is that you can choose to have them fleece lined – fleece lined! An absolute godsend in a cold snap. Available in a huge range of brilliant patterns, these leggings have a high waistband with a firm hold, and that all-important thigh pocket. And not only that, you can opt for longer length too! For those of us over 5’8”, this is joyous news indeed.

Available in sizes XXS-XXXXL

MONKEY SOX Ultra X1 Sports Sox £16

We’re big fans of Monkey Sox, from the quality of their running socks to the lovely motive behind the brand. With 50% of profits going to MS charities, you can feel as good as you look in these brightly-coloured socks with breathable mesh upper and cushioned footbed.

SUPERFEET Run Pain Relief Insoles £45

Insoles are a secret weapon that, if you don’t yet use them, could revolutionise your running experience. Designed specifically for running, Superfeet RUN Pain Relief insoles help stabilise the foot to minimise repetitive stress. The Superfeet shape personalises the fit of the shoe, while the independent Heel Stabilizer keeps the pain relieving-shape closer to the foot.
