We put these best-selling sports bras to the test! Read on for our team's Yvette running sports bra review

Finding the right sports bra for running can be tricky. It has to be supportive, comfortable, suitable for high-intensity movement and, ideally, flattering. So, we were quite excited when we received some of Yvette’s best-selling sports bras to try out and give our honest thoughts on.

Yvette’s founder, Julia, is passionate about helping women to find the perfect size sports bra for them. Their sports bras accommodate women of all different sizes, with most styles coming in 12 different sizes, from petite to plus size.

They also believe in the Three Cs:

  • Comfort: using and developing the most comfortable fabric, accessories and sewing to ensure an enjoyable wearing experience
  • Confidence: being confident in the quality of their products to help the inspire confidence when wearing them
  • Characteristic: creating unique designs that allow each woman to wear her own style

Overall review

So, do they deliver? I’d say so. All of the bras were incredibly well-made and gave next level support. I was impressed by the cups especially – a lot of sports bras don’t quite cover everything, or cut in under the arm, while these ones all provided excellent and comfortable coverage.

Yvette offer lots of different styles, which meant I could find something perfect for my body shape, and I loved that they all come with a matching leggings option – I’m all about a matching combo!

I’d recommend following the sizing guide on Yvette’s website to find your perfect size, as we all know it can be tricky to work out what letters and international sizing means.

Read on for our review of each bra, as well as their high support leggings!

YVETTE Enfold Zip Front High Support Running Sports Bra £28

If you’ve never tried a front-zip sports bra, I can highly recommend it after my first experience with this one. It was so easy to pop my arms through the straps and zip up, and taking it off post-run was a dream. No more awkward wrestling with a sweaty bra!

There’s more to the front zip than getting it on and off though – this type of bra is designed to be even more supportive than an over-your-head style. I certainly noticed the difference as I ran.

The wide underband and racerback kept everything in place. It felt as structured and supportive as an under-wired bra, but without any wires involved, making it oh-so-comfortable as well. And can we talk about that cute criss-cross pattern? I loved it for both my runs and HIIT classes.

Available in sizes S-5XL

YVETTE Enfold Criss-cross Strappy High Support Sports Bra£34

I loved the higher-neck design of this sports bra. The extra panel across the top of my boobs made me feel as though I had more support in reducing bounce as I ran. Plus, the cut-out design is oh-so-flattering!

This bra was perfect for a sweatier run or gym session as it uses mesh and air hole panels to keep you cool and wick sweat away quickly. It also is thick enough to be worn alone, with a t-shirt, and didn’t show any sweat stains.

The criss-cross straps at the back provided extra support and also felt incredibly comfortable while I was wearing it. The bra uses a double hook-and-eye closure that was super-robust and stayed put even through several rounds of burpees!

YVETTE Power Back High Support Running Sports Bra£30

Bigger busted ladies: this one is for you. This pretty sports bra packs a serious punch when it comes to support – its clever double criss cross back strap design gives it extra strength to keep everything exactly where it should be.

The whole design of this bra felt extra-secure. The straps stayed in place no matter what movements I made, and the thick underband uses a triple hook and eye closure for even more control.

The cups are non-removable and moulded in place (no more fishing around the washing machine for bits of padding!) which made me feel very supported as I ran. I also loved the air hole panel down the middle of the front of the bra, providing airflow and a sultry vibe to the v-neckline design.

It also comes in a whopping 10 colours (all with matching leggings) – I might well be going back for one in every colour!

Available in sizes S-5XL

YVETTE Limitless Classic Zip High Support Running Sports Bra£28

This sexy number is perfect for those who prefer a no-padding approach. Another zip-front design, I felt a little bit like Lara Croft as I shrugged it on and securely zipped up the front. Little covers at the top and bottom of the zip stop it from digging in, and once closed, it stayed put all the way through my workout.

And I definitely felt as though I could take on any Tomb Raider-esque challenges while wearing this bra. It was incredibly supportive whilst feeling lightweight and breathable.

The COOLMAX™ fabric was soft and wicked away sweat quickly, while the wide straps provided extra support and reduced bounce.

Available in sizes 30AA – 48DD

YVETTE Shift Light High Waist High Support Leggings£26

Special shout-out to Yvette for their colour-coordinating leggings options: there’s nothing more satisfying than a matching set.

These leggings are designed to provide support and compression through running and high intensity workouts, and I definitely noticed it as I wore them.

I loved the super-deep high waistband, which held everything in place and didn’t budge, even when jumping around in a HIIT class.

The fabric is buttery soft and lovely and lightweight, but don’t be fooled – these leggings were also squat-proof, and wicked away sweat quickly.

The length of these were perfect for me, as they stopped just above my ankle, leaving plenty of room for my socks and shoes. If you’re a taller gal, you might want to double check the length to be sure.

Available in sizes XS-XL
