When Kiran Ghandi spoke out about her decision to run this year’s London Marathon without wearing a tampon or sanitary towel, the story went viral, with hundreds of you taking to social media to voice your opinions on the matter. Some of you felt Kiran’s act to fight the stigma around female menstruation was futile, others were outraged by the crudity of the act, describing it as “disgusting.” And where some viewed Kiran’s actions as “brave”, many felt it was merely an act of “self-publicity”.
