Join this unique event in the heart of Southampton and take in some of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

The ABP Southampton Half Marathon & 10K event takes place on Sunday 24 April 2016 and it’s a great alternative to the London Marathon.

Both races start and finish in the heart of Southampton’s city centre with the run course passing iconic local landmarks including Bargate, O2 Guildhall and St Mary’s Stadium. Sure to be the race highlight will be running both the ascent and more popularly the descent over the Itchen bridge, which will be closed exclusively for this unique event.

With the new addition of a Mile Fun Run on Saturday 23 April, there will be 2 races both 1 Mile long through the Southampton City Centre parks. The first race is for Children aged 8 years upwards who can compete in the Schools Challenge! The second is open to all ages from 2 years to 120 years old!

This event is an ideal choice for first time runners, for seasoned pro’s and for runners simply wanting to enjoy the fun. We are expecting approximately 10,000 runners at this event over the weekend.

The spectator friendly route, with lots of activities, coffee houses and restaurants to explore make it a great weekend away for the whole family.
