London Marathon to include choir on course

Official sports nutrition partner to the VMLM Lucozade Sport, has a treat planned for marathon runners this weekend. Lucozade has announced it will be including a ‘Choir of Motivation’ at mile 23 to give runners that final push through the latter part of the course. The choir will sing popular running songs and will be cheering people on as they take on the last few miles of the course.

Vicky Morgan, Lucozade Sport Marketing Manager, said:

“The Virgin Money London Marathon is renowned for its amazing atmosphere, with a large part of the reason for this being the enthusiastic crowds that turn up to support year on year – they help push the runners on towards the finish line during the most difficult moments.

“Training can be really tough when you have to run without any of this, so we thought it would be nice to give those runners some extra inspiration by using our fantastic Lucozade Sport Choir of Motivation.”

Practicing for the big day, the Choir of Motivation lined Victoria Park last weekend to cheer runners on through their last training run. Watch the choir in action as a teaser for what to expect on the day:
