The Mad Dog 10K, held on 8 February 2015, is a fantastic themed event with amazing PB potential. It appeals to the serious and fun runner alike, and has been voted the best 10K in the UK many times in National Running Awards.

Runners receive a top technical T-shirt, a fantastic unique medal, a well-stocked goody bag and there’s an amazing atmosphere, with seven live bands out on the course and great spectator support.

With free parking, changing facilities (with limited showers), lots of toilets, free bag store, water stations, free fruit at the finish, a fancy dress competition for the fun runners, a kids’ “Crazy Pups” fun run, and a live DJ at the start and finish, this is a not-to-miss event. The fast, pancake-flat course runs along the Southport coastline and is traffic free with extensive road closures. Now in its fifth year, each year has been themed along a different movie/dog theme. This year the event is MAD DOG 5: Game Of Bones. So don’t be a pussycat – join in the fun! Enter here!
