Great Wall Marathon

The Great Wall Marathon will put your physical ability to the test with its steep ascent of 5,164 steps. The World Heritage-listed fortification is the largest human-made structure in the world and symbolises sheer human strength and fortitude. Tap into the special Great Wall spirit and join Albatros Adventure for this spectacular run, which will take you on a journey through ancient Chinese history and stunning scenery. Conquer the Great Wall in May 2015!

Since the inaugural race in 1999, the field has grown to over 2,500 runners from 60 nationalities. The event offers the full and half marathon distances, as well as an 8.5K Fun Run. Registration includes the race package and a tour package, which offers hotel accommodation, transportation to and from the race venue, social events and most meals.

Organised and hosted by Albatros Adventure, the Great Wall Marathon is part of a series of challenging trail marathons, including the Big Five Marathon in South Africa, Polar Circle Marathon in Greenland, Bagan Temple Marathon in Myanmar and Petra Desert Marathon in Jordan.
