Now that the summer is beginning arrive, it’s a great time to put on those running shoes and get some fresh air. The sun is out, the sky is blue, so we’re already looking forward to the Autumn events, and signing up gives us a reason to train. What motivates you to run?

Our biggest motivation is to eradicate poverty; it is what Oxfam strives for. We are there helping those who have lost everything in an disaster or conflict, empowering a family to become self sufficient and by campaigning Governments to remove barriers keeping people in poverty. That is what gets us out on those earlier morning runs – knowing that our strides will benefit those around the world.

Whether you’re a first time runner, or have run more races than you can count, we’d love for you to join the Oxfam team. You’ll get excellent advice from our celebrity personal trainer Graeme Hilditch, as well as a special running top and loads of support!
