Read Time:   |  March 16, 2021

Join ASICS and SportsShoes.com for an evening of celebration and empowerment, including a running-based workout and a panel discussion on female fitness topics

As much as we might be all avoiding Zoom quizzes now (there’s only so much testing our general knowledge can take!), an exciting new virtual event has gotten us racing for our laptops. ASICS and SportsShoes.com are hosting a live event on Monday 22nd March celebrate the launch of the new ASICS women’s Sakura collection, which is designed specifically to suit women’s biomechanics.

Free to attend for all, the event will be hosted by AJ Odudu and will be a celebration of female fitness. Kicking things off at 7:30pm will be a 30-minute running-based workout streamed live from Equinox fitness club in London, led by Master Trainer Sandy Wasserbach.

Following that will be an interactive panel discussion with some of our favourite women in fitness, covering topics including:

  • Cycle syncing and menstrual advice for your workouts with Dr Amal Hassan
  • The science behind why exercise is so important for mental health with Dr Zoe Williams
  • Nutrition tips and myth-busting with Rhiannon Lambert
  • A conversation with GB Middle-Distance runner Eilish McColgan

“We hope this evening will invigorate, uplift and empower everyone in attendance and our inspiration female panelists,” says organiser Charlie. “We may all be stuck at home, but that doesn’t have to stop us connecting and sharing our passion for fitness and wellbeing.”

There will also be a chance for attendees to win an ASICS Sakura gift box containing a pair of the new women’s GEL-NIMBUS 23 trainers, which have been engineered especially for the female body, ensuring greater cushioning, stability and improved performance; ASICS fitness apparel, a water bottle, a towel and a week’s pass to Equinox.

To sign up for the event, click here and register your details – we’ll see you there!
