Zwift launches new training programme to help you become a better runner

Read Time:   |  November 3, 2020

Zwift is helping more runners to achieve new PBs with the Zwift Academy Run programme

We’ve been excited about Zwift for some time now, and this interest only grew during the COVID-19 pandemic, as their tech offered a new way to train as a community while staying inside. As we head into our second lockdown period, the new Zwift Academy Run programme looks like a great way to keep fit and stay focussed on our running goals.

Zwift Academy Run invites runners of all experiences to sign up to an exclusive 8 workout training program designed by world-class coach Terrence Mahon and three-time Olympian Jen Rhines. You’ll be able to join thousands of other runners from across the globe, so you won’t have to train alone, and push towards a new PB with an expert training plan.

Want to know more about Zwift? We’ve got all the info here.

For those who complete the program, Zwift Academy Run is offering six spots (three of which will specifically be for women) to join the Zwift Academy Run Team for 2021. The Zwift Academy Run Team, composed of runners of all experiences and abilities, will be backed by some of the biggest brands in the world and promises to deliver a truly professional-level experience.

adidas will supply all athletes with top of the line training apparel and run footwear and will also invite all team members to take part in the Berlin Marathon. In addition, team members will receive an all-expenses-paid training camp to visit adidas headquarters. Here they will undergo a series of performance tests to help set goals and their training for the year ahead. It will also be the first chance for the team to bond in person before they meet again on the start line in Berlin.

To be eligible for selection, entrants must enrol in the Zwift Academy Run program and complete a total of 10 activities on Zwift – all 8 Zwift Academy Run workouts plus two Zwift Academy Run events, with a selection of distances available. Or, just train for fun – you’ll still get to complete a challenging training plan and meet other runners worldwide.
