Take on our Women’s Running lockdown challenge, and run a 5K with us on 29th November
Let’s all do something together! Yes, we’re entering into our second lockdown – and many of us have already have been under restrictions for some time. So we wanted to bring you a challenge: something to aim for, something to do together – while apart, and something to show for our month under lockdown.
How do you feel about running a 5K? Does it seem like a walk in the park? Or does it feel like an unachievable goal? Here’s the good bit: firstly, yes, it can be a walk in the park, and secondly, it’s brilliantly achievable. You know why? Because we’re going to support you every step of the way.
And here’s how. Firstly, put 29th November into your calendar. The aim is to run, jog or walk a 5K at any time between 12.01am and 11:59pm on that day, and when you’ve done that, sign up using the form below and we’ll send you a medal to commemorate your achievement! We’ll send you an email with all the details on how to claim your medal as soon as you sign up.
Meanwhile in the weeks leading up to the 29th, we’ll send you training guides and inspiration to get you round. You can attack your 5K in any way you like: do you want to get your 5K PB? We can do that with you. Do you want to run your first 5K, or your first 5K in a while? We can help you get round – this isn’t a timed challenge: the aim is to just get round and for you to enjoy it as you do it. You can walk this 5K if you’d like and, under current guidelines, you could walk or run this socially distanced with a friend (but do check government guidelines closer to the date to make sure that this is still the case). And why 5K? Read what the lovely Emma Campbell has to say about this wonderful distance here.
Choose your route, choose your time, and make the 29th November your day to run with us: together we can do this! And we can’t wait to get our medals!
